Hey, can we talk? I have a lot of feelings.

I don’t know about you, but I’m totally going into the weekend on a total high. Why? Over Bill effing Anderson (Josh Dylan) from Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

I know.

I literally can’t stop thinking about Young Bill Anderson from this movie, which by the way, was incredible. If you’d like to talk about him and young Donna’s dance number and his deep blue eyes please tweet at me @MaddieMichalik.

I’m still playing “Why Did It Have to be Me?” on repeat, but in the meantime, let’s get to it.

We’re getting a Hamilton movie.

Hollywood is not throwing away its shot with this one. Multiple studios are in a bidding war for rights for a 2016 recording of the Broadway musical, only for about a cool $50 mil. This is a BFD because if you’re not too familiar with Hamilton‘s history, this is still the time when the e n t i r e original cast was still in the show, AKA all of the people who sing on the soundtrack you listen to on Spotify. Even better, this also means that we’ll be able to see the movie over and over again. Next to Young Bill Anderson, this is the best thing that’s happened to me all week. Get some more deets about this story here.

We got some clarity on the GoT finale.

ICYMI, winter is here, y’all. Three very important words gave us a better idea when the final season will premiere, of instead of just “in 2019.” HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys confirmed that the final six episodes will air in the “first half of” 2019, so at least the wait now seems much, much shorter, right? *sweats nervously*

Demi Lovato is discharged from the hospital.

On Tuesday, singer and actress Demi Lovato was admitted into the hospital for an apparent drug overdose. Lovato was released yesterday, but is reportedly heading straight the rehab. There is a. lot. of speculation and stories circulating the internet about this story, but outlets are reporting that Lovato was dating someone her family and friends wanted her to stay away from and was partying the night before she was found unconscious in her bed. The singer has been open about her struggles with drug and alcohol abuse, is outspoken about mental illness, and has been a role model for those affected. We’re all rooting for you, Demi!

We got a new TØP music video.

twenty one pilots released the video for its newly released song “Nico and the Niners,” basically confirming everyone suspicion’s that the duo’s upcoming album Trench is a rock opera—AKA it will tell a story. The video picks up right after the last video “Jumpsuit” left off, or maybe it’s meant to be before? Idk. It’s all very elaborate and I’m so into it. Please fast forward to 2:30 when Tyler and Josh bring back their famous handshake from “Stressed Out.” This is so important to me, and I may or may not have screamed. Shout out to Jordan, one of my best friends from college, when her and I spent a whole night during finals week teaching ourselves this handshake. The boys are back and better than ever.

Cordon’s back, alright!

I want to live my life as happily as James Cordon is while filling in as a Backstreet Boy. Cordon became an member of the boy band during one of their performances while the group is performing its Las Vegas residency. The video is as hilarious as you think it would be. Cordon made his grand appearance during the show’s opening number, “Larger Than Life,” but then said that he could barely breathe, couldn’t perform 22 more songs, and promptly quit the band. That is extremely relatable.

We got a hilarious reunion.

It almost felt like the good ‘ol days of Saturday Night Live when Amy Poehler appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers during their “Really?!?” segment. The pair roasted former FBI Director James Comey over a dumb tweet he posted about some political advice he had for Democrats. 12/10 would watch again for the sick burns and friendship.

We have a Netflix boycott.

Netflix released the trailer for one of its new original shows, Insatiable, last week, and it was met with hella criticism. The show is about a teen who becomes a lot more attractive to her classmates once she lost a lot of weight, and the comedy is intended to be a revenge satire. A change.org petition was created to cancel the show, saying that the premise is toxic and promotes “the narrative has told women and young impressionable girls that in order to be popular, have friends, to be desirable for the male gaze, and to some extent be a worthy human…that we must be thin.” Debby Ryan, the actress portraying the main character of the series, responded to the criticism on Instagram with a lengthy message defending the theme of the show.

We met a Britney-howlin’ doggo.

I think I’ve watched this video at least 30 times each hour. Riley is a very good boy who is destined to be a star, giving us a sneak peek of his cover of “Toxic” by Britney Spears. Cruise into the weekend to this tune!

Until next time, my beautiful trash babies!
