The Cosplayers Getting Coffee team journeyed to Anaheim, California for WonderCon, soaking in all the incredible cosplays on the west coast. In the 13-minute episode, 12 cosplayers take a break from the con to bust out a few dance moves, discuss the most anticipated movie releases of the year, look back on their biggest cosplay fails, and, of course, sip on some coffee (or at least pretend to).
In this episode, CGC introduces Poptheticals: a new series of pop culture-themed hypothetical questions, covering everything from Hogwarts acceptance letters, the ultimate pop culture dream team to pull off a heist, and more.
Roll call! Learn more about the 12 cosplayers that stopped by for a coffee and a chat during the con.
William (@IBorg7of9), cosplaying as Salvador from Borderlands 2, joins Rhys (@WickedRhysCosplay), in costume as Lore Olympus‘ Minthe, for a fun conversation. The two bond over both being sorted into Gryffindor should they be accepted to Hogwarts and bust out a few dance moves.
Proud Hufflepuff Destiny (@dancingdragoncosplay), dressed as Nightwing, starts up a “beautiful friendship” with self-proclaimed Slytherin Gatlin (@gatlinmcclun). Gatlin, in his first-ever major cosplay, comes prepared in an all-out Yondu costume.
Alice (@mistress.of.nothing) puts her own feminine stamp on classic Batman villain, The Penguin, as she speaks with Kimberly (@kimmyjimenez1017). Kimberly is dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid — in human form — and brings along her own plush Sebastian pal. The two ruminate, ” You’re never too old to cosplay.”
Dust Bunny (@dustbunnycosplay) cosplays as Sora from Kingdom Hearts 3 and chats with J.J. (@jjstingraycosplay), who is dressed as Knightingail from the Knightingail comic book series. In between discussing their biggest cosplay highlights and fails, the two cosplayers debate (and demonstrate) the introvert versus extrovert “bop” dance.
Brittanie (@chocowaffo) is dressed as Nora Valkyrie from RWBY and chats with Sarah (@xlectax) costumed as Widowmaker from Overwatch. Brittanie attempts to demonstrate the Fortnite dance for her coffee partner as they discuss what accessories their action figures would come with.
Stephen (@tridentproductions16) coordinates with his fiancée Brittanie and cosplays as Lieren from RWBY to her Nora Valkyrie. Brittanie called her fiancé, who even proposed in costume, her best accessory. Meeting new friends, Stephen grabs a cup of coffee with Gabrielle (@hazelxlezah) in her Brigette from Overwatch armor.
