Mark your calendars people: Matt Reeves’ The Batman will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.

Well, it’s official. Ben Affleck will no longer be Gotham’s Caped Crusader. Instead, writer and director Matt Reeves will handpick the next Bruce Wayne. Reeves first took over directing duties from Affleck back in January 2017, and has been working on The Batman ever since.

According to sources, studio executives have been pleased with the early versions of Reeves’ draft. Reeves has spent the past few months making final tweaks, and is now set to meet with actors.

Only time will tell who will become the next Dark Knight.
