Sean Gunn, brother of Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, attended the Captain Marvel premiere yesterday, and he had a lot to say about the future of the Guardians franchise.

James Gunn was fired by Disney last year after offensive tweets regarding pedophilia surfaced, despite various cast members standing up for him. The future of the third Guardians of the Galaxy film hangs in the balance, as production was pushed back and Disney has yet to find a replacement director. Sean Gunn, who played Rocket Racoon and Kraglin in the first two Guardians films, has been shooting his mouth ever since the firing, even saying that Disney and Marvel plan to use the script his brother wrote (with no receipts to back it up).

At the Captain Marvel premiere, Sean Gunn tells Variety, “I don’t know exactly how that’s all gonna work, but I feel like we are going to make the third movie, I’m excited to make it. I think it’s a disservice to the fans if we didn’t make it and I know the people who worked on the Guardians movies are really a family, and we’re gonna come together and make the best movie we can regardless of who’s in charge.” He also says, “I just have this feeling everything’s gonna work itself out.”
