Snoop Dogg is logging into the esports arena, and fans are hyped — calmly, for obvious reasons.

Snoop Dogg teamed up with Merry Jane to launch the professional sports league Gangsta Gaming League (GGL). The league of the iconic rapper’s gaming friends is based out of his studio compound in Los Angeles. I’m still waiting for my invite.

GGL will kick off its online gaming with a cannabis-friendly tournament hosted by Snoop Dogg and comedian Dan Rue. The players Red Woods, Red Grant, JC, Tripo Loc, Lala, Shelton, Waniac, and Young Sagg will compete in popular EA sports game Madden NFL 2019 to win the title of GGL Top Dogg and win a share of the $11,000 prize. Everything about this league cannot get any better.

The champion will also get the chance to face off against — you guessed it — Boss Dogg to boost his or her prize.

“The gaming world is about to be turned upside down,” Snoop Dogg tells Merry Jane.

Fans can livestream and comment on the gameplay during the showdown on Snoop Dogg’s Twitch, Mixer, and WestFestTV YouTube channels, as well as Merry Jane’s Facebook page on March 14 at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST).
