Masters of the Universe (MOTU) and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) have already met in the realm of toys. Now, the two storied brands are headed to Eternia for a new crossover from Dark Horse Comics — Masters of the Universe/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles of Grayskull.
In this crossover, the TMNT gang encounters Krang and Shredder making a deal with Skeletor and are transported to Eternia. There, they find that Utrom mutagen is being combined with demon magic to make a purple poison, throwing Eternia into chaos. To save the day, the quartet must team up with the Masters of the Universe — only He-Man is missing in action.
The series was written by MOTU vet Tim Seeley (Masters of the Universe: Forge of Destiny and Masters of the Universe: Masterverse), illustrated by Freddie E. Williams II (Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Injustice/Masters of the Universe), colored by Andrew Dalhouse (Space Ghost and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin II— Re-Evolution), and lettered by AndWorld Design (Masters of the Universe: Revolution and Canto: A Place Like Home). The first of four issues features a cover designed by Williams and Dalhouse along with two variant covers by Stan Sakai with Emi Fujii and Alexis Ziritt.
Masters of the Universe/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles of Grayskull #1 will be available in comic shops starting tomorrow, Sept. 25. It is available for preorder now for $3.99. To find your nearest comic book store with Dark Horse comics, head to darkhorse.com.
