Between Dec. 25 and Jan. 5, collectibles manufacturer and retailer Sideshow hosted its annual 12 Days of Sideshow showcase. The event featured — you guessed it — 12 days of epic statue and art reveals, with products inspired by various pop-culture franchises. While the holiday season might officially be over, Sideshow is giving superfans everywhere plenty of reason to celebrate with its new items from The Witcher, X-Men, Star Wars, and more!
The gaming world’s favorite monster slayers will be taking to shelves this year with Sideshow’s new collection of The Witcher statues. The collection features detailed Geralt, Yennefer, and Eredin figures, modeled after the characters’ appearances in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Each can be seen wielding a character-specific weapon: Yennefer channeling her signature purple flames or Eredin raising his deadly sword. While Sideshow hasn’t announced release dates yet, fans can RSVP to be notified about preorder information on sideshow.com.
In addition to individual figures, the showcase also revealed some more complicated pieces that are a must-have for any collection. The Phoenix and Jean Grey Maquette, for example, displays the iconic X-Men transformation of Jean Grey into Phoenix. Jean Grey stands in the foreground of the piece, dressed in her signature blue-and-yellow costume, while her villainous alias Phoenix rises in flames behind her, sporting her notorious green-and-black bodysuit.
Of course, no collection is complete without a Star Wars tribute. The latest addition to Sideshow’s Mythos series will feature none other than Darth Vader, displayed standing atop flaming wreckage of a befallen X-Wing. The Mythos series depicts characters in situations that could have happened, but didn’t, allowing collectors to revel in the fantasy of a different ending.
