The new Akedo collection marks the brand’s first foray into licensed accessories. | Source: Zavvi

Earlier this month, Zavvi announced that it was dropping the Akedo x Evergreen collection, the first Akedo collection to go beyond the brand’s signature high-top shoes. The new collection includes a variety of officially licensed shoes and accessories from Jaws, E.T., Rick and Morty, Harry Potter, SpongeBob SquarePants, Chucky, Garfield, and more.

For each franchise or title, there is a selection of backpacks, adults’ and kids’ high-top sneakers, lanyards, pencil cases, and/or fanny packs.

The Jaws collection has matching adults’ and kids’ high top sneakers and a fanny pack, which all show the infamous shark-eating-Quint moment. The lanyard and pencil case say “Jaws” and look like the shark has been munching on them. You’ll want to phone home to add the E.T. set to your wish list. The futuristic, glitchy looking items show off E.T. and his iconic bicycle ride over the moon. The Rick and Morty accessories, meanwhile,  feature patterns of the characters in the Tropiverse with crazy-looking plants and creatures.

The Garfield items combine the fun of text bubbles with the clean look of a fresh page of comics, while the pieces in the Harry Potter collection look just like a trunk packed for Hogwarts that is decorated with stickers from different houses and classes young wizards take. The SpongeBob SquarePants collection includes two different sets of sneakers, one with a zany-looking Spongebob on the side and another that matches the crazy collage style of the rest of the collection. Finally, the Chucky accessories are pasted with newspaper and pictures of Chucky, just like a ransom note.
