Happy birthday, Atari!

The iconic company is celebrating 50 years of delivering interactive game experiences to the video game industry through Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration. The collection tells the robust history and innovation of Atari through classic and modern games, unpublished interviews, videos, and more.

Developed by Digital Eclipse, the game emulates eight of the different Atari hardware platforms — all in one package. Gamers can play through a video game collection drawn from five decades of history, including 90 original titles that influenced the evolution of game development into what it is today.

The collection also celebrates the history and development of the team whose creativity, passion, and curiosity drove the transformation of Atari. Fans can access never-before-seen files and assets, including early development sketches, images, hardware schematics, internal memos, videos, and more, all deemed as “artifacts.” Players can unlock games over time as they explore the linear timeline and learn about the talented individuals behind the success of Atari.

Atari fans can also discover bonus games by completing challenges and uncovering artifacts, including newly finished “never-completed” games, mashups, and experimental versions of classic titles.

Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration will be available for purchase this November for $39.99 on most major gaming platforms, including Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows.
