After suffering through four long hours of content this week, we finally made it. The Bachelor has wrapped up production, post-fence jump, and leading man Colton Underwood has chosen his love.
After Monday night’s episode when Cassie tearfully broke up with the man who proclaimed she was “The One,” he dumped runners-up Hannah G. and Tayshia during Fantasy Suite Week to chase after Cassie, who had already broken up with him once. To console the former football player, show MVP Chris Harrison proclaims, “maybe she’s just not that into you.” Then Colton — like a toddler — insists she does love him too, which will remain a finale highlight.
In the second part of the finale, Colton appeared to win back 23-year-old speech pathology student Cassie with the promise just to date and take things slowly. Well, not too slow, as they go off on an expenses-paid trip to Mallorca, Spain, courtesy of ABC, to meet the parents! While Cassie didn’t seem to assure his parents (or myself for that matter), Colton was lovestruck.
The couple had one final, Fantasy Suite-level date, which is where the taped portion ends. Making their first debut as a couple, Colton and Cassie (as spoilers had predicted) announced they were happily dating — Colton’s bad haircut and all.

While the show didn’t end in a proposal or even a final rose ceremony, Cassie received Colton’s last rose on the live After the Final Rose segment, and then a future engagement ring courtesy of Neil Lane during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

While their journey was wrapped up in a tidy bow, it’s now onto another season of The Bachelorette as a new televised love story unfolds. Well, at least for a few months. …
