Rejoice, LA sports fans who also love gaming — Some of your favorite video games are getting a major crossover with your favorite baseball team!
After recently establishing its U.S. headquarters in Irvine, California, Bandai Namco has inked a sponsorship deal with the Los Angeles Angels, the MLB club that has been a mainstay for baseball fans in Southern California for more than six decades.
Under its new deal with the Angels, Bandai Namco’s corporate and product branding — including the company’s new logo — will be featured on the fixed and rotating signage behind the home plate, the first- and third-baseline signage, and the 360-degree LED stadium signage in Angel Stadium, where the Angels’ home games will be hosted this year’s MLB season. Additionally, Bandai Namco will be featured in the team’s media, including Angel Magazine, the team’s social media, and live game broadcasts on AM830 KLAA, the Angels’ official radio station.
In addition to supporting the local MLB team, Bandai Namco also wants to meet the community in Irvine and Orange County. To do this, the company is organizing a “Welcome to the PAC!” event, which will be open to the public on May 1 at the Irvine Spectrum Center. The event will include a main stage with entertainment and musical performances, tents featuring video game demos, goodies, and giveaways.
