Boglins are back from the murky depths of the ‘80s! These round, monstrous puppet creatures are ready to be back in your collection.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign that went live last fall, these creature toys from TriAction toys — originally made by Mattel and a leader in the gross-out trend of the ‘80s — are hitting retail for the first time in decades.

The creepy puppets feature glow-in-the-dark eyes and movable arms. Because of the premium-quality foam material, Boglins are very expressive and durable. The packaging they come in also adds to the creepiness: Each 8-inch Boglin comes in a cage, complete with damaged prison cell bars that make it look like they will jump out at any moment.

TriAction Toys’ newly released Boglins are based on the original three characters that started it all: Drool, Dwork, and Vlobb, who have now become Boglins kings. In the ‘80s, it was a mystery why the Boglins left the swamps, but now each puppet will come with a portion of the story of the seven Bog kingdoms.

The Boglins Kings are available to preorder now ($49.99 each) at toynk.com, along with exclusive, red-eyed variants of all three characters. They are expected to ship by the end of April. Each Boglins King purchase from Toynk comes with a free Boglins Red Eye enamel pin, while supplies last. Fans can also purchase the pins separately for $12.99 each.
