Whether you’re off to see the Wizard or enjoying the fact that there’s no place like home, why not look cute in an outfit inspired by one of the most iconic movies of all time?
Today, Cakeworthy released its newest licensed collection, and it is straight out of the Emerald City. This The Wizard of Oz line includes seven pieces in total, starting with short- and long-sleeved, tie-dye T-shirts that feature the full foursome and the movie’s logo. The long-sleeved version also has the iconic quote “Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!” printed down one sleeve.
The more casual offerings continue with another long-sleeved T-shirt, which is all black and says “The happiest movie ever made” on the front. The back features the movie’s logo, while the sleeves are decorated with rows of stills from The Wizard of Oz. The final T-shirt in the lineup is a short-sleeved, grey top that features an illustrated Wicked Witch of the West.
Things get a bit more creative with the Wizard of Oz Button-Up Shirt (pictured top), which is a short-sleeved, yellow top covered in a pattern of cut-out characters from the movie, including Dorothy, The Tin Man, The Scarecrow, The Cowardly Lion, Glenda the Good Witch, and The Wicked Witch of the West.
For a slightly more subtle homage to the film, there is a Dorothy-inspired flannel, which is made with a white-and-blue checked fabric (like her dress!) and has the quote “There’s no place like home” on the back. The front pocket features the movie logo in red embroidery, with the iconic ruby slippers embroidered on the collar.
Finally, the collection wraps up with a jacket inspired by the scene when Dorothy and friends fall asleep in the poppy field. The jacket features a satin exterior and cotton interior, decorated with embroidered poppies on the front and Dorothy lying in the poppies on the back. The embroidery also features red, glittery thread.
All of these items are available to preorder now from Cakeworthy, and they are expected to ship by the end of this month.
