lego still life

LEGO is one of the most popular, recognizable toy brands in the world among children, collectors, and fans. What makes LEGO bricks so exciting are the endless building possibilities that those colorful, plastic bricks provide.

On April 7, an entire line of LEGO-themed stationery products — including a LEGO-inspired puzzle, notecards, erasers, and a notebook — is launching from Chronicle Books. (The line is all available for preorder now, BTW.) One other key item in the line is the LEGO Still Life with Bricks: The Art of Everyday Play book. It features toy photographs showing LEGO bricks transformed into all sorts of everyday objects, with awesome results.

In homage to this book and the full LEGO collection, Chronicle is hosting a LEGO Still Life photo contest. To enter, you must create a LEGO masterpiece and photograph it. But there’s a catch: no building! To capture a qualifying Still Life image, you must arrange unconnected bricks to create a still life scene. Check out this video for some great examples!

Once you’ve got your perfect still-life photo saved to your camera roll, share it on social media using the hashtags #LEGOStillLife and #ChroniclexLEGO. Then, fill out the form on this web page with a link to your post before 11:59 p.m. ET on March 29 for a chance to win!

The grand-prize winner will get all eight new LEGO Chronicle Books products and a $250 LEGO gift card (a value of more than $385); the second-prize winner will get six Chronicle Books products, a brick backpack, a keychain, and more (a value of more than $175); and the third-prize winner will take home Chronicle Books stationary, colored pencils, and a buildable ruler (a vlue of more than $100).

So, what are you waiting for? Start planning your perfect LEGO Still Life image now for your chance to win.
