This snack is on fire.

Cheetos are known for that iconic orange dust the crunch snacks leave behind, reminding you of their extreme deliciousness and addictive nature even after you’ve savored the last bite — but do you know the real story behind the dangerously cheesy snack?

According to Deadline, Fox Searchlight has optioned the inspiring true story about the inventor of the most popular Cheetos variation: Flamin’ Hot. The biopic will be directed by actress Eva Longoria. Even better, the film is titled Flamin’ Hot because what else would you name a movie about Cheetos??

The film will tell the uplifting immigrant’s tale of Richard Montanez, the former Frito-Lay janitor who dreamt up the idea for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Montanez, the son of Mexican immigrants, rose from humble beginnings to fulfill his own American Dream when he came up with the idea for the spicy version of the cheesy snack.

Longoria, currently starring in Dora and the Lost City of Gold, reportedly beat out multiple directors after she impressed producers and the studio with her authentic vision for the flick, Deadline reveals. Charlie St. Cloud and October Sky writer Lewis Colick penned the script.

While a movie about Cheetos seems absurd, this film is poised to be a meaningful and impactful biopic.
