Marvel already announced its plans for its official birthday celebration on Aug. 31 — complete with tons of retail activations, in-store celebrations, and giveaways — but the comic book company has a whole list of events and experiences for fans looking to celebrate eight decades of the Marvel Universe.

Things will kick off at D23 Expo later this month, where Marvel has a special 80th-anniversary panel planned, along with other programming and merch.

Fans at Dragon Con on Aug. 31 can join in celebrating the anniversary there, with a party during the annual Dragon Con parade, photo ops, and a cosplay meetup featuring a Marvel birthday cake.

For those in Philadelphia, the “Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes!” exhibition is extending its run to Sept. 11 at the Franklin Institute. The exhibit features more than 300 artifacts from throughout Marvel history. After it leaves Philadelphia, the exhibit will move to the Telus World Of Science Edmonton in Canada, starting on Oct. 19.

Outside of experiences, there will be plenty of new merch debuting to celebrate the anniversary. Most of it is set to launch from now until December, from companies including Hasbro, Funko, LootCrate, Diamond Select, Mattel, DecoPac, Mad Engine, Bioworld, C-Life, Citizen, Disney store, and more.

And gamers, keep your eyes open while you play Marvel Strike Force, Marvel Future Fight, Marvel Puzzle Quest, and Marvel Contest of Champions. All of these games will feature in-game activations to celebrate characters, stories, and costumes from Marvel history.
