As if there weren’t enough reasons to love Critical Role before, the team behind the popular Dungeons & Dragons entertainment brand just launched a nonprofit organization, the Critical Role Foundation (CRF).
The Critical Role mission statement is to “leave the world better than we found it,” and this new nonprofit aims to fulfill this mission by furthering the company’s philanthropic efforts.
As an organization, the CRF will partner with other nonprofits whose values and goals align with Critical Role and its community. The CRF will host specific fundraising campaigns for these organizations, and 10% of every dollar the foundation raises will go into an emergency fund. The CRF will use these emergency funds to provide immediate relief in cases of natural disasters or other unforeseen events.
The foundation’s first partnership is with the First Nations Development Institute, an American Indian nonprofit that works to strengthen American Indian economies and to support healthy Native communities through a variety of programs.
The fundraiser for this partnership, which has a goal of $50,000, is live now at criticalrolefoundation.org. Fans can donate directly on the web page, or contribute by selecting CRF as their charity on smile.amazon.com.
