You can’t explore the world of Exandria without making a stop in Tal’Dorei!

Critical Role fans will be able to acquaint themselves with this republic in the new Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn sourcebook, courtesy of Darrington Press. This 280-page, art-filled guide will make fans familiar with the people, creatures, capitals, and player options of this republic.

Tal’Dorei was first explored in Critical Role’s first campaign, Vox Machina. The new sourcebook will revise and expand upon the original Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting, along with providing an update of the world’s timeline to cover the conclusion of Vox Machina. It will show how Tal’Dorei has progressed leading up to the beginning of Critical Role’s second campaign, The Mighty Nein.

Written by Critical Role stars Matthew Mercer, Hannah Rose, and James Haeck, the sourcebook features a guide to each major region in Tal’Dorei — from Emon to Whitestone — accompanied by story hooks to bolster campaigns. It also features expanded character options with nine subclasses and five backgrounds, as well as magic items such as the Vestiges of Divergence. Dozens of creatures, new lore, and updated stat blocks for each Vox Machina member will also help fans familiarize themselves with this fantastical continent.

Fans don’t have to keep this knowledge within the borders of Tal’Dorei, however. The sourcebook is compatible with any game using the fifth edition ruleset — more crossover tourneys abound!

Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn is slated for a late 2021/early 2022 release. It will be released at physical Darrington Press Guild stores and Critical Role shops.
