Yesterday, Disney announced a new feature on its Disney+ streaming platform that will make it much easier to have watch parties with your friends and family, no matter how far away they might be.

The feature allows up to seven accounts to watch a movie or show together in synced playback across web, mobile, or smart TV devices. (All of the parties must have a Disney+ account to watch).

To launch this feature, locate the new GroupWatch icon (pictured above) on the details page of the title you want to watch. This will generate a link to invite up to six additional accounts, which you can send via message or airdrop.

Once the virtual movie night (or The Mandalorian watch party) gets going, any member of the group can pause, rewind, or fast forward.

As you watch, you can also use the Disney+ app to react with emojis in real-time.

What’s the first movie or show you want to use GroupWatch for? Let us know in the comments!
