No, really. WizKids is launching a new game based on the iconic jam “Summertime” by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. In this quick card game — aptly named DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince: Summertime — players cruise, groove, and unwind across Philadelphia, all while trying to prove to DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince that they are the coolest in the crew.
Players earn Cool Points by traveling to different Spots and outwitting other players by attempting to play Action, Energy, and Boost cards. Whoever ends up with the most amount of Energy at a Spot wins the Cool Points.
Every player also has a different Vibe and can earn bonus points at the end of the game for each Spot they collected with a matching Vibe. The person with the most Cool Points at the end of the game wins.
The game comes packaged in a colorful box featuring DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince themselves, alongside graphics ripped right from the ‘90s. Even the cards are on theme — they feature boomboxes, graffiti-style lettering, and hot rides.
