Marvel Games and Electronic Arts (EA) are making at least three new video games for fans to explore the Marvel universe.
The first game to come out of this partnership will be a single-player, third-person, action-adventure video game based on Iron Man. In the game, players will dive into Tony Stark’s past and understand what it is really like to be Iron Man. Between his billionaire-playboy-philanthropist life and his heroic exploits as Iron Man, players will experience an all-new story behind Stark.
“We look forward to welcoming Marvel into the EA family of creators and know this collaboration will produce exceptional experiences for our players,” says EA COO Laura Miele. “We can’t wait to see players’ reactions when they suit up as Iron Man and do the extraordinary things this superhero is known for.”
The team behind the Iron Man game is headed by Oliver Proulx, who worked on Guardians of the Galaxy and several other Marvel veterans.
The Marvel and EA collaborations will be available for both PC and consoles when they launch.
