The Dungeons & Dragons community got a taste of a new epic adventure, along with exclusive accessories, this past weekend at D&D Live 2019: The Descent.

Fans attending the immersive event had the chance to play the new Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus. The next chapter to the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game brings players to the first layer of the Nine Hells through 13 levels. The 256-page adventure book developed by Chris Perkins is set for release in game stores on Sept. 17, with a standard cover featuring a painting by Tyler Jacobsen and an alternate cover designed by Hydro74.

Fans also had the chance to descend to the Nine Hells in style with the new Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus Dice & Miscellany custom dice pack. The pack, also hitting shelves on Sept. 17, comes with a box with metallic accents, cards of game material fans can use for inspiration to play out their own journey through Avernus, 11 red and gold dice with metallic accents, and two d20s to roll disadvantage.

The Battle for Baldur’s Gate expansion pack for Dungeon Mayhem will also launch on Sept. 17 and come with new character options, new art from Jake Parker, and new characters from Baldur’s Gate history.

Thanks to a new partnership with Adult Swim, there’s also a Dungeons & Dragons vs. Rick and Morty: Tabletop Roleplaying Game Adventure on the way. Set to launch on Nov. 19, the game blends the world of D&D with the hilariously dysfunctional family in Rick and Morty. The game comes with the tools for the Dungeon Master to channel their inner mad scientist to run the adventure for up to five players through three levels.

The final product in the lineup is the D&D Essentials Kit, which comes with a redesigned rulebook that teaches new players how to make characters. Dragon of Icespire Peak, written by Chris Perkins, is included in the kid and introduces a new one-on-one rules variant and allows players to play as they learn. The D&D Essentials Kit will launch at Target on June 24 and everywhere else Sept. 3.

This year’s D&D Live was packed with gameplay; livestreams across Twitch, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitter Video, and Mixer; and interactive experiences with cosplayers and performers acting as characters from the game. Fans watched more than 13.7 million minutes during the annual three-day D&D Live event, the roleplaying game’s most-watched livestream event ever.
