While he offered some non-comments about there being pretty much countless opportunities and directions for the studio to go in, Iger didn’t give specifics; however, he *did* say that the new stories will be “platform agnostic.” (Well, that clears it up. Thanks.)
Luckily, we know there are two Marvel shows debuting on Hulu in the near-ish future, plus there’s Disney+, which launches later this year with a host of original content — both fiction and nonfiction — so at least we have *something* to be excited about as we wait for Disney to share more Marvel deets.
During the call, Iger dropped another streaming bomb: Avengers: Endgame will debut on Disney+ on Dec. 11. (!!!)
He added that Marvel characters may be coming to life in another way, too.
“At some point, we’re going to get very ambitious about what we do with Marvel at Shanghai Disneyland,” Iger says.
