Let’s face it, folks, princesses don’t just shine — they sparkle. Loungefly is embracing that sparkle for its latest Disney accessories collection and we have your first look.
The Disney Princess Sequins Series will include mini backpacks and flap wallets inspired by some of the most iconic Disney Princess looks, decorated with entire sections of sequins to add a super-sparkly touch.
The first princess to get this extra-royal treatment is Cinderella. The Loungefly Cinderella Sequins Flap Wallet ($40) and the Mini Backpack ($90) will be available exclusively at loungefly.com starting at 9 a.m. PT on June 22.
Both bags are packed with details inspired by the glass-slipper-wearing heroine. The wallet has a bow on the front, accented by an enamel clock that’s just minutes away from striking midnight. Inside, the lining is decorated with a repeating pattern of imagery from the animated classic, while the ID display slot has a shoe-shaped cutout.
The backpack offers the same enamel clock bow and subtle interior lining, but it also has a shoe-shaped zipper pull and the phrase “Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Boo!” written across the bottom of the back.
The next princess to get the royal treatment? Ariel! The Loungefly Disney The Little Mermaid Ariel Princess Sequin Series Flap Wallet ($40) and Mini Backpack ($90) will also be exclusive to loungefly.com, but the launch date is not available just yet.
The Ariel bags mimic her original mermaid look, with sections of purple sequins complemented by sections of green with stitching to replicate fishtail scales. The bow on these bags is clearly seashell-inspired, decorated with a charm shaped like her fish BFF, Flounder.
Both Ariel accessories have purple interior lining fabric that depicts a repeating pattern with Flounder, mermaid tails, and other under-the-sea iconography. For this mini backpack, the zipper pull is a dinglehopper (fork) and the back has “Under the Sea” written across the bottom accented by some bubbles.
