Neanderthals are getting naughty!

Exploding Kittens, known for its hit tabletop games, is debuting Poetry for Neanderthals: Not Safe for Work Edition as the third NSFW game in the company’s franchise. Just like in the original game, players are forced to use only single-syllable words to describe complex terms, otherwise they get bopped by a 2-foot inflatable “spank stick.” In the NSFW version, players may have to describe inappropriate terms for their teammates to guess. With 800 new terms, there are plenty of opportunities to wallop people with the spank stick.

The rules of the game are simple: the chosen poet on a team can select a poetry card and try to get their teammates to say the listed word. They can only use words with one syllable within the sand timer’s 90-second time limit. If one of the teammates guesses the word correctly, that team receives points and the poetry card is passed off to the opposing team. If the poet trips up and uses a word with more than one syllable, they get gently(ish) bopped with the spank stick, and the other team gets to steal their point. The team with the most points after 15 minutes wins the game.

Poetry For Neanderthals: Not Safe for Work Edition is available at explodingkittens.com for $19.99 and will also be available at Target in later months.
