Is there anything better than getting a package in the mail with a new collectible or fan-fueled merch? How about getting a package in the mail every month?

Fanhome, a subscription-based collectibles and model-building company, announced today that it is expanding to the U.S. This is the first time that the company will offer its products outside of the European Union and the UK.

Its initial U.S. offerings include three build-up models: Iron Man, R2-D2, and the Dodge Charger from the Fast & Furious franchise. With each of these subscriptions, fans get a monthly shipment that includes additional pieces for the model and a 16-page magazine packed with facts about the franchise and instructions for building the next portion of the model. Depending on the model, it can take fans anywhere from 1-2 years to complete the building stages.

According to Darren DeGuire, Fanhome’s U.S. business development manager, the shipments come with everything builders need — even a screwdriver and batteries. The built models are packed with features, too: the 24-inch Iron Man build creates the Mark III armor, complete with light effects and articulation; the Dodge Charger (available June 7) is a 1:8-scale replica; and the R2-D2 model is a fully functioning half-scale model that fans can control with a companion app.

In addition to these build-up models, Fanhome will offer a monthly subscription for a collection of iconic Street Fighter characters. Each monthly shipment will include four figures and four magazines. The figures stand about 3.5-5.5 inches tall, including a base.

“Fanhome doesn’t just deliver boxes with products, Fanhome delivers exciting journeys and rich experiences,” DeGuire says. “Our goal is for the fan to enjoy their fandom in a very convenient way by receiving really unique products and editorial content at their preferred location.”

Each building stage costs around $12-13, and every monthly shipment includes four building stages. Right now, however, Fanhome is offering significant discounts, including 70% off and free shipping for a risk-free trial package — which includes two assembly stages — and 25% off of the second shipment. Anyone who orders R2-D2 or Iron Man before Aug. 31 will also receive a bonus gift!

The kits are available to U.S. fans now, exclusively from www.fanhome.com.
