Marvel‘s success in film has been second to none, but DC has flashed signs of some pretty killer TV shows. Its latest series, Titans, got it’s first trailer release at New York Comic Con yesterday.

DC’s description of the series is as follows:

“Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.”

The upcoming series will be streamed on DC Universe, DC’s own streaming service. It’s likely that the service is in anticipation of Disney’s very own streaming service, which is expected to launch next year with Marvel shows available. The DC Universe subscription will give users access to movies, TV shows, and more, including comics. Titans will be the first series to launch on the platform, and will be available to stream on October 12.
