‘Fortnite’ Club Football Skins | Source: Epic Games

We’re going to be seeing more than FIFA skins for this new update! Epic Games has partnered with more than 20 top football clubs through Fortnite licensing representative IMG to bring players a Royale-sized roster of skins, emotes, and tournament gameplay.

The “Kickoff Set” skins will launch on Jan. 23, featuring 10 male and female outfit variations, which players can swap for any of Fortnite’s 23 football club jerseys. Teams include La Liga, Bundesliga, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, J1 League, A-League, Scottish Premiership, Serie A, MLS, Premier League, and Primeira Liga, among others.

Players can sport these jerseys to the video game’s Creative Hub throughout the week, where they can join global clubs in a 4v4 bracket-style football tournament. Players can also use power-up and speed-boost features to creatively outscore their opponents in two rounds to advance to the next bracket.

And what better way to celebrate a tournament victory than with an iconic emote of Brazilian football legend Pelé’s “air punch?” This treat comes complete with a virtual Pelé Cup with prizes for top players, including the emote and a Kickoff Set.

The 23 football clubs involved are Inter Milan, Seattle Sounders FC, Celtic FC, AC Milan, A.S. Roma FC, Atlanta United FC, Melbourne FC, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Cerezo Osaka, Esporte Clube Bahia, Los Angeles FC, FC Schalke 04, Juventus FC, Manchester City FC, Sporting CP, Rangers FC, Santos FC, Sevilla FC, VfL Wolfsburg FC, Sydney FC, West Ham United FC, Western Sydney Wanderers FC, A.S. Roma FC, and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.
