Last night, the annual Game Developers Choice Awards took to the internet to highlight the very best in video games from the past year.

The awards were reformatted to be a virtual livestream event after the Game Developers Conference joined the long list of events postponed due to COVID-19. However, the show went on, and House House’s popular Untitled Goose Game took home the top award: Game of the Year.

Other big winners for the evening included Remedy Entertainment’s Control — which won for Best Technology, Best Audio, and Best Visual Art — and ZA/UM’s Disco Elysium, which took home awards for Best Narrative and Best Debut. Hempuli’s imaginative puzzle game, Baba Is You, also nabbed two awards: Best Design and The Innovation Award.

Fans can visit the GDC site to see a complete list of winners or check out the entire — very interesting — awards presentation below.
