In his efforts to take over the world, Godzilla has seen our global dependence on the internet and established his presence online with a new official web portal.
Fans can enter (if you dare) the Godzilla portal for exclusive news, events, rare videos, new merchandise, a complete filmography, and an encyclopedic Monsterpedia of the franchise’s monsters.
In advance of the Godzilla: King of the Monsters film release on May 31, godzilla.com, created by entertainment studio Toho Co., will commemorate the 65th anniversary of the monster’s big-screen debut and connect fans with exclusive content from the entire Godzilla universe.
“We’re thrilled to unleash a world of content around our most beloved Godzilla,” says Keiji Ota, Toho’s CGO (Chief Godzilla Officer) in a statement. “Fans have been longing for a universe that celebrates the all-mighty king of monsters, and godzilla.com delivers the most exciting news and stories about upcoming events, new merchandise, and special releases as we commemorate the 65th anniversary of Godzilla.”
The site will feature the first Godzilla Monsterpedia, filled with everything fans have ever wanted to know about the franchise monsters, or kaiju, including King Ghidorah, Mothra, and MechaGodzilla.
The web portal will be updated regularly to provide news about upcoming content, including movie trailers, key art, events, fan content, new products, and future announcements.
