Snag a seat on the hype train because it’s pulling into the station at New York‘s Anime NYC from Nov. 18-20.
Get in gear! Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles is bringing a special Gundam-only event called Gundam Expo U.S.A. 2022 to the Big Apple. Last August, the Gundam Online Expo came to the U.S. as a virtual event, but this year, the event has been upgraded for fans to enjoy on a much grander scale.
At Javits Center’s Booth No. 540, showgoers can see 11-foot Gundam Aerial and Wing Gundam statues ready for photo ops and sharing on social media with the hashtag #GundamExpoUSA. At the event, more than 120 exclusive model kits will be available for purchase and previously sold-out model kits will be back in stock.
The booth will also feature plenty of exciting content and activities for all three days of the show, including special guests and a live stage for a series of activations. On Nov. 19, for example, Bandai is going to challenge the Guinness World Records title for “Most people assembling plastic robot models simultaneously (multiple venues).” Adam Savage from Tested will be on-site to join in on the festivities.
An Anime NYC badge is required to participate in any in-person events. Those unable to attend Anime NYC can enjoy all event activations online from the comfort of their own homes. Limited items will be ready for purchase online, with giveaways taking place via livestream. Additional information and the event’s online components will be available at the Gundam website.
