Spooky season is officially upon us! Halloween Horror Nights starts today, Sept. 8, at Universal Studios Hollywood.

For those looking to embody the spirit of Halloween, souvenirs and apparel based on this year’s themed haunted houses and an artist signature series featuring the iconic Universal Monsters are up for sale at the parks. Lil Boo fans will be thrilled to see that merchandise based on the beloved character will be available for the first time at Universal Studios Hollywood.

One of this year’s haunted houses is based on the 1988 cult-classic horror film Killer Klowns from Outer Space. The experience first debuted in 2018, and visitors have to escape from the funhouse while the titular killer klowns chase after them.

If you’re looking for something to sink your teeth into, Killer BBQ from Outer Space, based on the haunted house, has something for you. The circus-themed restaurant features savory snacks, such as a BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich and Loaded Mac & Cheese, along with sweet Jojo’s Ice Cream that’s to die for.

Fans of the award-winning music artist The Weeknd can check out the “The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare” haunted house, followed by a drink at the late-night bar based on the one in many of his music videos — if they make it out, that is.

Other haunted houses at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights include Terror Tram, which ends with a walk-through inspired by Jordan Peele’s Us and Nope; Halloween, which is inspired by the 1978 horror classic; The Horrors of Blumhouse; and Universal Monsters: Legends Collide.

Halloween Horror Nights will run on select nights at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort through Oct. 31. If you’re a thrill-seeker, you can buy tickets online at halloweenhorrornights.com or at the park. Multiple ticket options are available, including general admission, R.I.P. Tour, Frequent Fear, and Ultimate Fear.
