An original Han Solo blaster that Harrison Ford used in Return of the Jedi found a home with a new owner at a “Hollywood Legends” memorabilia auction at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The auction company, Julien’s Auctions, expected the Star Wars prop to sell for somewhere between $300,000 and $500,000 but it went above and beyond and sold for a dazzling $550,000 as the top-selling item.

The buyer is a collector from Ripley’s Believe It Or Not so perhaps we’ll all be able to view this piece of intergalactic history on display sometime soon.
The blaster came from a collection of the film’s U.S. art director, James L. Schoppe. In comparison, an Imperial Scout Trooper Blaster from the movie sold for $90,625, which goes to show that the dark side’s got nothing on Han Solo.
