Steven Moffat, former Doctor Who showrunner, is working on a new TV project: an HBO adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s The Time Traveler’s Wife.
This is not the first adaptation of Niffenegger’s book, which tells the story of a couple constantly interrupted by the husband’s tendency to jump through time and space. In the 2009 film, Rachel McAdams starred alongside Eric Bana.
So far, HBO ordered only a single season of the TV version. There’s still no word about it being a “limited series,” so we’ll have to wait to find out if Moffat—who also created BBC’s Sherlock—will look to expand beyond the source material.
