By the power of Grayskull, check out Mattel Creations‘ newest tribute to the He-Man universe: The “Toy” collection.
American fashion designer Virgil Abloh designed the Masters of the Universe Toy collection, a series of four tan figures featuring He-Man, Skeletor, Battle Cat, and Skele-God. Abloh died last year, but his vision for the collection was fulfilled by Virgil Abloh Securities and the team at Alaska Alaska, Abloh’s London-based design company.
Each figure comes in displayable, all-clear packaging and includes accessories and removable pieces, such as swords, articulated hands, and Battle Cat’s armor. The four figures each come with a comic book and art by Reggieknow, an homage to Masters of the Universe’s origins as an action figure line that came with mini-comics in the ‘80s.
Abloh aimed to explore his inner child and his love for youth culture through the creation of this collection. Now, you can follow his legacy to Eternia and do the same by bringing the Toy collection home.
The Masters of the Universe Toy collection c/o Vigil Abloh figures will be available from Mattel Creations starting tomorrow, Oct. 21.
