Hot Wheels cars have been racing into playrooms and collectors’ shelves for more than 50 years, and now these popular die-cast cars are rolling onto the Worldwide Asset eXchange (WAX) blockchain as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Starting on Nov. 16, the first series of digital Hot Wheels NFT Garage collectibles will drop for as little as $15 per pack. The 40 new designs will include some of the most iconic Hot Wheels cars, replicated on digital trading cards that look like the iconic Hot Wheels packaging. They will be available in standard four-card and premium 10-card packs that will feature four tiers of rarity: Base, Rare, Premium, and NFTH (Treasure Hunt).

Within this drop of digital collectibles, more than 5,000 of the rare cards will also be redeemable for real-life, special-edition Hot Wheels cars. This includes the Twin Mill, the Rodger Dodger, the Mach Speeder, the SS Camaro, and the Bone Shaker (the ultimate rarity). Overall, collectors will have about a 5% chance of getting one of these redeemable NFTs.

While these are the first NFTs from Mattel to live on the WAX blockchain, it is the company’s (and the Hot Wheels brand’s) second foray into the NFT space. Back in June, Hot Wheels NFT Garage launched by offering three one-of-one digital Hot Wheels collectibles via auction on the Mattel Creations site.

The upcoming drop of Hot Wheels NFTs is designed to be more accessible to fans and collectors. Before the new collectibles drop on Nov. 16 at hotwheelsnftg.io, fans can get ready by creating a WAX Cloud Wallet at wallet.wax.io.
