OK, kids. This is not a drill. Ikea decided to be extra in the very *best* way possible and take on TV decor in its latest ad campaign in the United Arab Emirates.
Thanks to the good folks at the Swedish furniture powerhouse and their Real Life Series, we now know how to truly live inside our fictional TV dreams — like, literally. Ikea recreated the living rooms from fan-favorites The Simpsons, Friends, and Netflix’s Stranger Things.
On the special microsite created for the campaign, Ikea says:
We brought to life the iconic living rooms of the most beloved families of all times, through tons of furniture combinations in lots of different styles and sizes – and at affordable prices. We’ve grouped all the products for each room for you, so it’s easy to recreate what you see here in your own home. Take a look and make your living room iconic with Ikea.
The site features images of each living room, and once you click, it takes you to a page with a full listing of the furniture and decor used to create that signature look. The Stranger Things-themed living room even features the iconic string lights on the wall! Take a look at the pics — and Ikea’s descriptions — below, and then maybe put your credit card farrrr out of reach — just to be safe. (I LOL-ed at the descriptions but also I want to give them all my money so being corny doesn’t seem to negate effectiveness.)
