Matthew Reinhart, the world-renowned pop-up engineer, is teaming up with Insight Editions to launch the Reinhart Pop-Up Studio, an official imprint for the publishing company. The studio is expected to publish 8-10 pop-up titles per year, combining Reinhart’s expertise in pop-up innovation with Insight Editions’ production quality and experience. The titles will include both original material and officially licensed properties, including Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Disney.
Before creating the Pop-Up Studio, Reinhart worked alongside Insight Editions to create an abundance of pop-up book experiences. His first title, A Pop-Up Book of Phobias, was a hit in 1999. Since then, Reinhart has worked on more than 50 pop-up titles, including Disney Princesses: A Magical Pop-Up World, Jurassic World: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book, Star Wars: The Ultimate Pop-Up Galaxy, and A Pop-Up Guide to Hogwarts and Beyond.
The first title from the Pop-Up Studio, Teeth, Tentacles, and Tail Fins: A Wild Ocean Pop-Up, is expected to launch in July this year. Later this fall, the imprint’s list will grow with Stranger Things: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book and other transformative books featuring the worlds of Batman, Harry Potter, and Disney. Next spring, titles will include Disney Princess: The Little Mermaid Pop-Up Book and Dungeons & Dragons: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book.
