James Bond’s DB5 Highlights 007’s One of a Kind Wheels | Source: Hero Collector Books/the Pop Insider

The Aston Martin DB5 has become one of the most iconic cars in cinematic history, first racing onto screens back in 1964 as James Bond’s tricked-out getaway car of choice. Now, fans can get an in-depth look at one of the most famous rides in the motion picture industry, which is set to make another big-screen appearance on Oct. 8 in the latest film in the Bond series, No Time to Die

Alongside the movie, EON Productions has partnered with Hero Collector Books to release an exclusive book, James Bond’s DB5, spanning the history of one of the few vehicles that could handle the lifestyle of the one and only 007. The book includes rare photographs of the car, capturing the detail of the specially customized Aston Martin.

In the book, fans can read the original letters from the James Bond producers to Aston Martin outlining their vision for the high-tech weapons additions to the car that made for some incredible action packed scenes in Goldfinger and eight additional Bond films after. The coffee table book also features rare photos of the filming of Goldfinger in Switzerland, a history of the other DB5s that went on tour as promotion for the movies, and insider reports from No Time to Die filming in Matera, Italy.

James Bond producer Michael G. Wilson, No Time to Die star Daniel Craig, and Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman each wrote forewords for James Bond’s DB5, reflecting on their experience with the luxury car, too.

The hard-cover, 280-page book will be officially available starting on Sept. 28. Fans can preorder the book now for $50, then catch No Time to Die in theaters next month!
