Fresh from his… interesting portrayal of the Joker in Suicide Squad, Jared Leto is set to take the Marvel Universe by storm.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Leto is set to headline the new Marvel flick, Morbius, which features a blood disease-riddled scientist who turned into a vampire as he attempts to cure his affliction. Leto’s antihero character was first introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man comics, but amassed success as a featured character and went on to star in his own comic series.
Daniel Espinosa is set to direct the film, with Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama serving as the writers. Morbius will be produced by Lucas Foster, Matt Tolmach, and Avi Arad. Let’s hope he doesn’t send any cast members dead pigs or live rats this time?
