jonas brothers

After our favorite childhood-era boy band broke up to pursue solo careers and different projects in 2013, we were left with a JoBro void in our fangirl hearts. Ever since then, we’ve been yearning for the day when somehow the band of brothers would reunite professionally. And tonight’s officially the night!

After months of rumors (and the reactivation of their official Instagram account in January), the members of the iconic early -2000s band has announced their return to music together with a new single and a late-night reunion, according to Variety.

Late last night, fans were quick to notice that the official JoBros social accounts went dark, a clue that something big was coming. Then, this morning it was revealed on social media that the band is coming back and is dropping a brand-new single, titled “Sucker,” tonight.

To celebrate the official reunion and the new song, the band will head to The Late Late Show with James Corden for a weeklong takeover next week, from Monday, March 4 through Thursday, March 7. (I’m filing this under the best birthday present my preteen self could ever ask for because what perfect timing.) During the special, the group will chat with host Corden about their reunion; take part in sketches and show segments, including “Carpool Karaoke,” and perform “Sucker” live.

To celebrate the launch, a Late Late Show teaser shows the JoBros jamming out to the likes of “S.O.S” and a sneak preview of the new song “Sucker” before it’s release. And, WHAT A BOP. In the clip, the brothers announced that they are officially back. Kevin Jonas even jokes, “We gotta dust off the cobwebs! Here we go!”

The Jonas Brothers together have sold more than 17 million albums worldwide and received a Grammy nomination in 2009 for “Best New Artist.”

My inner 13-year-old fangirl is back and trying to squeeze into a three-sizes-too-small Jonas Brothers fan tee.
