Fans who have waited nearly 13 years for the second Avatar movie can have a little LEGO Avatar set — as a treat.
After revealing the LEGO Avatar Toruk Makto & Tree of Souls at LEGO Con in June, the LEGO Group introduced four new Avatar sets at Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC). Inspired by the upcoming film Avatar: The Way of Water, the four additional sets include LEGO Avatar Neytiri & Thanator vs. AMP Suit Quaritch ($39.99), LEGO Avatar Jake & Neytiri’s First Banshee Flight ($59.99), LEGO Avatar Floating Mountains: Site 26 & RDA Samson ($89.99), and LEGO Avatar Jake Sully & His Avatar ($19.99).
These vibrant new sets will let Avatar fans recreate favorite moments from the first movie, such as when Neytiri teaches Jake how to bond with a Banshee, or when the team sees the legendary Hallelujah Mountains for the first time. Although we still don’t know too much about the new movie — c’mon!! — these sets will certainly make fans excited for what’s to come.
You’ve waited 13 years … now you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer. Most of the LEGO Avatar sets will be available on lego.com, in LEGO retail stores, and at major retailers starting on Oct. 1. The LEGO Avatar Jake & Neytiri’s First Banshee Flight set is available to preorder now. The LEGO Brickheadz Avatar Jake Sully & His Avatar set, meanwhile, will be available exclusively at lego.com and LEGO Retail Stores starting on Oct. 1, with no preorders.
