Josh Gad’s YouTube series Reunited Apart has already brought us some beautiful cast reunions, including fan-favorites Back to the Future and The Goonies — but now it’s time for the actors behind The Lord of The Rings to reunite.
In a hilarious trailer for the event on May 31, Gad enlists the help of Sean Astin to get the rest of the crew together. “ … [You] ran away from Gollum, all to destroy the most powerful ring in the world. How hard can a f*ckin’ phone call to Elijah Wood be?” he asks.
Before long the two are joined by some of the biggest names from the LOTR trilogy — yes, even Orlando Bloom. Each actor apparently has waited for in a zoom call for thousands of days and tbh I would too.
The cast agreed to gather on May 31 at 12 p.m. EST in the most magical way. The end of the trailer is something you need to see for yourself but be warned: One does not simply watch Ian McKellen speak without crying. Check it out below!
