New Magic 8 Ball, who dis?

As the latest offering from Mattel Creations, Figure8 collectibles feature the classic Magic 8 Ball with a body beneath the ball for the first time — providing an empty canvas for artists to make the figures their own.

The release includes two Magic 8 Ball styles: one blank, and one from the Mattel design team that is inspired by the original pocket fortune-teller, complete with a vintage “Syco Seer” logo.

Mattel Creations also teamed up with 88rising in celebration of Lunar New year with a limited-edition collaboration for three colorways of the Figure8 collectibles — red, silver, and gold — that pay homage to the original Magic 8 Ball with nods to the Year of the Ox. The collaboration also includes an apparel line from 88rising.

More Figure8 variations will come down the pike. In the meantime, this first wave of fortune-telling collectibles will be available starting today, Feb. 12, at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT, exclusively from mattelcreations.com.
