Who would be a part of your Marvel dream team? Soon, you can build it.

Following a partnership with Alderac Entertainment Group — owners of the card game franchise Smash Up — The Op just unveiled the first licensed version of the fan-favorite “shufflebuilding” game: Smash Up: Marvel.

Designed by Paul Peterson (Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering), Smash Up is a card game that lets players face-off for virtual territory, using self-built factions (AKA fictional armies). In the original game, players can join archetypes like geeks, rock stars, kaiju, disco dancers, and more. But now, in the Marvel version, they’ve got iconic heroes and villains at their disposal.

Players will be able to build their Marvel comics dream teams and utilize character-specific powers and abilities to accomplish Smash Up’s objective—strategically build your faction, dominate bases, and collect victory points. Conceptualized by both AEG and The Op’s game design teams, each character’s custom traits are in line with Marvel comics and the Marvel universe storyline. Characters include Captain Marvel, Red Skull, Spectrum, Arnim Zola, and so many more.

The Op will release new characters every month on social media, leading up to the game’s release this fall.

Smash Up: Marvel is designed for 2-4 players ages 12 and up, and takes about an hour to play. The game will run you about $34.99.
