Express and Star
Everyone always wants to know what J.K. Rowling is up to because, obviously, she’s J.K. Rowling—the Queen of our adolescence.
Rowling, in response to inquiries about her ongoing projects, posted on Twitter, “I’ve just finished the fourth Galbraith novel, Lethal White, and I’m now writing the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts 3. After that I’ll be writing another book for children. I’ve been playing with the (non-Harry Potter/wizarding world) story for about six years, so it’s about time I get it down on paper.”
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hasn’t even come out yet and we’re already getting news on the third installment. Warner Bros. is certain that the new movie, which releases in November, will be a box office smash, so there’s no question for them about making a third. The first Fantastic Beasts brought in $814 million, which is a hefty sum for a prequel spinoff (we’re looking at you, Solo).
