The holidays might still be a few months away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get started early!
PopMinded by Hallmark revealed its newest products at this year’s New York Comic Con (NYCC) and gave a sneak peek of some collectibles for next year, giving collectors plenty of time to plan out their holiday decorations. The new items include expansions to Hallmark’s popular Keepsake Ornament collection, its itty bitty collectible plush line, and more.
First off, the brand had three NYCC exclusives for fans to purchase at the PopMinded by Hallmark booth. There was a golden Time War Dalek ornament, a Spider-Gwen ornament, and a Star Wars Gonk Droid & Mouse Droid ornament.
For fans of the Wizarding World, PopMinded by Hallmark is releasing a Professor Snape Boggart itty bitty and a Harry Potter, Rubeus Hagrid, and Luna Lovegood trio of tree ornaments. Next year, Harry Potter fans can look forward to grabbing a Dobby ornament, a dueling Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter ornament, and a screaming (yes, it really makes that horrible sound!) Mandrake plush.
Although Hallmark is playing a bit of catch-up with all of the Marvel content coming out, the brand is releasing several new *super* products for this holiday season. There’s a Thor: Love & Thunder ornament and a Mighty Thor itty bitty, with a Loki ornament and a Scarlet Witch itty bitty set to release next year. In anticipation of November’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie, there’s a Black Panther ornament available. And of course, there is a series of Spider-Man items, including a 60th Anniversary Spider-Man ornament, a Miles Morales Spider-Man ornament, and two Spider-Man itty bittys.
With the new Indiana Jones movie on the horizon, Hallmark is bringing back everyone’s favorite archaeologist. The Indy collection will debut in next spring and features an Indiana Jones itty bitty, a golden calendar, a gold picture frame, and a set of salt and pepper shakers modeled after the iconic boulder from Raiders of the Lost Ark and the idol from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
PopMinded also displayed several Star Wars items, including an assortment of itty bittys, ornaments, and containers inspired by Star Wars TV shows, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Mandalorian. The brand also showcased its 2023 Star Wars sneak peeks, which included an Anakin Skywalker ornament, a Darth Vader water globe, and an R2-D2 calendar.
Another fandom on display at the PopMinded booth was gaming. PopMinded is expanding its Pokémon itty bitty offerings, with plans to release additional video game-inspired itty bittys and ornaments next year. Fans can look forward to a Minecraft collectible, a Mioaf itty bitty, a Cat Mario ornament, and more.
Other sneak peeks for next year at the booth included itty bitty plush of the female Friends characters in wedding dresses and a variety of new ornaments, including Oogie Boogie, the Jurassic Park jeep, Batman, Legolas, and the Power Rangers Red Ranger.
At the PopMinded by Hallmark panel, the team behind the collectibles revealed that there are several new fandoms that the brand hopes to delve into. With the Ghostbusters anniversary coming up in 2024, fans can expect to see some ghostly collectibles soon. Hallmark also plans to drop more Doctor Who collectibles and new anime properties such as My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Z.
Additionally, the PopMinded team announced at the panel that this is the last year that the Star Trek Storytellers collection and the Star Wars Keepsake ornaments line will get new releases. The Star Trek Storytellers McCoy figure and the Enterprise from Strange New Worlds debuted at Comic Con, as did the last three collectible ornaments from the Star Wars Keepsake collection.
With so many new collectibles to choose from, this holiday is sure to be the geekiest one yet. Most of the items above are available at hallmark.com/popminded, with the exclusion of any 2023 sneak peek items. Happy (early) holidays!
