The six actors who played the Brady kids returned to their old TV home to film a tour of the house for HGTV. The North Hollywood home was sold to HGTV after a savage bidding war between the home design channel and Lance Bance.
HGTV is clearly in tune with what’s necessary, and is documenting the home renovation for A Very Brady Renovation, premiering next September. HGTV plans to make the house bigger and add 2,000 square feet, “without compromising its instantly recognizable street view.” The network will also stay true to the living room’s floating staircase, the green and orange kitchen, and the shared bathroom between the kids’ rooms.
The Brady Bunch stars Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), and Susan Olsen (Cindy) reunited on-camera for a walk-through. Several HGTV hosts also came along for the ride, including Jonathan and Drew Scott from Property Brothers, Mina Starsiak and Karen E Laine from Good Bones, Leanne and Steve Ford from Restored by the Fords, Jasmine Roth from Hidden Potential, and Lara Spencer from Flea Market Flip.
The three main adult cast members from the show, Robert Reed (Mike Brad), Florence Henderson (Carol Brady), and Ann B. Davis (Alice the housekeeper) have passed away since the show ended. The Brady Bunch aired from 1969 to 1974.
