After James Gunn was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, production was delayed and the cast was left out of work at the moment. The Marvel film was originally expected to hit theaters in 2020, but with no replacement director secured, filming is now on hold until 2021. In the meantime, Chris Pratt is in talks to star in a new thriller from Taylor Sheridan, tentatively titled Fast.

Pratt will play a former Special Forces commando who’s recruited by the DEA to lead a black ops strike team targeting drug dealers who are protected by the CIA.

David Heyman is producing the film, which has a budget in the $70 million to $80 million range.
