J. K. Rowling is known for dropping outrageous Harry Potter bombshells, even two decades after the books came out, throwing Potterheads into a frenzy. The author already revealed years ago that Dumbledore was gay (despite the fact that it has no relevance or representation whatsoever in the books). Rowling is now stirring the pot even more in the behind-the-scenes features on the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald Blu-ray DVD, which released last week, claiming that Dumbledore had an intense sexual relationship with the Nazi-esque dark wizard Grindelwald.
“Their relationship was incredibly intense,” Rowling says. “It was passionate, and it was a love relationship.”
Director David Yates fueled the fire as well, saying, “This is a story about two men who loved each other, and ultimately have to fight each other. It’s a story for the 21st century.”
In the latest Fantastic Beasts movie, Jude Law plays young Dumbledore and Johnny Depp plays Grindelwald.
The people of Twitter have a lot to say about the revelations, most of which is too X-rated to post here, but here are some of the best reactions.

World: OK.
JK Rowling: I don't think you get just how gay.

I love Harry Potter so much but JK’s blatant (and failing) attempts to make Dumbledore any gayer without actually having the guts or motive to actually write it… Smh, making a character gay to seem woke or give them more depth… Sloppy, Rowling.

us: can we get the marau-
jk rowling: no
us: but
jk rowling: the restricted section of hogwarts was restricted because that's where dumbledore hid his gay erotica— amy (@rlandsbindaclub) March 17, 2019
if jkr wanted me to believe dumbledore and grindelwald were boning 24-7 they really should’ve stuck with colin farrell

This is like suddenly finding intimate sexual details about a favourite teacher from school. It’s enough to know that they had love. If you’re close, find out who. Don’t want to hear about a passionate sexual relationship from their youth with a terrorist https://t.co/wSjUwub0SB

can’t believe dumbledore lost his virginity in the chamber of secrets

GRINDELWALD: Come on…
DUMBLEDORE: I’m just… I told you I’m not in the mood!
GRINDELWALD: ugh, okay, FINE… *changes back to Colin Farrell form*
DUMBLEDORE: COME GET SOME— Joss Whedon (@joss) March 17, 2019
People are rightly taking the piss out of JK Rowling for her ridiculous post publishing announcements about Dumbledore's sexuality & imaginary sex life. Unless there's an editor's note or some gay sex scene she was forced to cut out then she's simply vying for attention.

J.K. Rowling: Dumbledore and Grindelwald had an intense sexual relationship
Readers: That's cool. Would you mind elaborating on your views regarding the transgender community? It's problematic based on your history and we'd love clarification.
J.K. Rowling: Dobby is gay, too!
